From the exclusive Byblos Art Hotel - Villa Amistà, a luxury hotel that combine a unique style of modern and ancient elements, with classical frescoes and contemporary art, we start two bike tours that lead us to the heart of Valpolicella, among vineyards and villas, and to the city of Verona, UNESCO heritage site.

  • DAY 1 / Vineyards of Valpolicella and Villa Della Torre

    Approximately 32 km - flat
    • Valpolicella, area of production of prestigious red wines since the Roman time, during the XV and XVI century was chosen by aristocratic families as the preferite place where to build their impressive villas, converted into wineries in modern times. The itinerary goes through the vineyards at the bottom of rolling hills, and skirts the proprieties of many villas, such as Villa Pullè, Villa Costanza and Villa Novare Bertani. The tour includes the visit of the XVI-century Villa Della Torre, famous for its fireplaces and for the Allegrini family’s vineyards. A visit to the garden of Villa Giona and a light lunch with Valpolicella wines tasting in Tenuta Salvaterra are the best way to finish the bike tour.

  • DAY 2 / Visit of Verona and Giardino Giusti

    Approximately 33 km - flat
    • Getting to Verona by bike is priceless. The route follows the “Ciclovia del Sole” bike path until the mighty walls that surround Verona, then it goes deep into the old town crossing the ancient bridge of Castelvecchio. The itinerary bring us to the most romantic corners of the city, it crosses squares surrounded by ancient buildings, as the Roman amphitheater - The Arena - until the famous Giardino Giusti, also praised by Goethe. We go back to Valpolicella cycling along Adige river with great views over the city.

The route

The tour is composed of two bike round itineraries. The tour takes place mainly on bike paths and a few secondary low car traffic roads. Road bank is mostly apshalt or nice dirt road. The itinerary is mostly flat with a few light climbs.
