The eastern side of Verona, less famous than Valpolicella, is evenly really beautiful but more pristine, with large views over the mountains and the green hills.
We reach the hamlet of Colognola ai Colli with a transfer in minibus: once there, we start cycling on the low section of Illasi Valley and the beautiful and pristine Mezzane Valley, crossing the countryside and its endless vineyards surrounded by rolling hills.
We cross Illasi, an elegant village overlooked by a medieval castle and featuring two majestic Venetian Villas, then we cycle up a panoramic road flanked by cypresses. Going down is exciting, we cycle among vineyards, cherry trees and olive trees on small country roads, until we get to Soave, a charming medieval town, famous for its white wine.
Soave deserves a break in order to visit the beautiful old centre, the majestic walls, the noble palaces and the castle.
Finally, we go back to Colognola ai Colli following country roads up and down on little panoramic hills.
