Paris – London by bike
Two Capital Cities, two cultures, a magnificent cycloturistic path
The itinerary develops among cycling paths, secondary roads with low car traffic and along agreeable and relaxing Green Ways, that are the best part of the trip. These routes were created on old railway tracks and run in the middle of the countryside and woods, both in England and France. In France they are mostly surrounded by immaculate country: through the first stretch we’ll get to Gisors, while the second leads us to Forges-les-Eaux. In England they are even finer because of the nice shadow of forests and woods that will delight and refresh us. Some of them are really well known, like the Cukoo Trail, before Tunbridge Wells, and the Forest Way up to Crawley. Along the tunnels made up by old oaks it is not hard to find grey squirrels crossing our way.
On the french side we can find a lot of attractions, plenty of small villages and castles. We’ll pass by the Château Maisons-Laffitte and visit the Château di Villarceaux, with its charming gardens and various lakes. In Cergy, where the River Oise twists, we’ll come across the bright red pedestrian bridge, part of the mysterious but modern architectonic work of Axe Majeur. On the english side nature predominates but we’ll find anyway nice and typical villages along the way. We’ll walk on the Seven Sisters Park, the white cliffs covered with green grass and black sheep. Enormous oaks and plane trees will also come all the way up to London.
Leaving Paris and arriving to London we’ll touch the best spots of our tour: we’ll start off in Notre Dame, along the Seine, to get to the Tower Bridge of London, on the Thames. In one week we’ll go from one world to another so divided and so united by the sea.
Driving on the left also makes a big difference but familiarising with it it’s not hard at all! The bike is our trait d’union. The experienced bikers of the two capitals and the large number of cyclotourists are what unites those two lands and we, with our bikes, form part of the joyful bunch.

HOW TO BOOK
This trip has already been tested and can be adapted to small or bigger groups. We propose guided tours leaded by our guides who speak english, german, french, spanish and portuguese. We can provide this trip also without leaders as long as the group can follow the tracks using a gps since itineraries develop on broads that are not always easy to find.
On demand we can also provide other services as, for instance, a bus following the group or electric bikes and much more. Big groups are kindly invited to book in advance.
