Iseo Lake

From the rock drawings in Valle Camonica to the vineyards of Franciacorta

From the Valle Camonica, following the River Oglio, we’ll reach the stunning Iseo Lake and the surrounding area of Franciacorta. We’ll visit prehistoric engravings, charming romanic little churches, Montisola and the Torbiere di Sebino.

A train will lead us to Capo di Ponte in Val Camonica. In Naquane we will visit the incredible “Valley of Landmarks” as Unesco named the Val Camonica where humankind has interacted with the environment since Prehistory, leaving its marks in more than 180 sites. It is a truly unique place of beauty and charm. After the visit we will continue our day exploring the park of the Massi of Cemmo and visiting the nice romanic church of San Siro, from where you can enjoy a gorgeous panorama.

We’ll cycle on the cycling path along the River Oglio. We’ll have our lunch in a farm that produces cheese – yummy!

We’ll stop in Esine to have a look at its beautiful church frescos of the XIV century. The aim our day is Pisogne, on the coast of the lake, our hotel is on the shore.

On suday we’ll quickly reach the cycling path of Vello – Toline, this side of the lake will just amaze us with its view: pedaling on a road for pedestrians and cyclists we’ll find the rock behind and the water in front of us! We’ll then get a private boat from Morone to Montisola and, once we’ve desembarked, we’ll go all around this tiny island where no car is allowed. We’ll go back to Iseo by boat to go to the Natural Reserve of the Torbiere di Sebino where we can get the chance to do some serious birdwatching.

Very close to this incredible landscape we can’t miss a visit to one of Franciacorta’s best wine producers, the Bersi Serlini. Those who wish to can enjoy a very good wine tasting. Going back to Brescia is now sad but beautiful, we’ll ride the last part of our tour in the middle of wineyards and smooth hills.
